WhaleStats has reported that Shiba Inu meme cryptocurrency has overtaken FTT (the native token of the FTX exchange) as an asset that constitutes the biggest USD value in the wallets of the top 1,000 Ethereum whales.
The total holding value of SHIB in USD constitutes a whopping $1,665,876,442.

However, the data shared in the tweet has changed quite fast, and FTX is now back above SHIB. The amount of FTX held by the top 1,000 Ethereum whales totals 15.51% worth $1,298,234,838 (the second largest holding after Ether).
As for SHIB, the percentage held by ETH whales is 13.66%, and it amounts to $1,143,412,179.

WhaleStats has also reported that the number of people holding Shiba Inu has reached a new record figure of 1,160,123.
According to data shared on Twitter, the largest 1,000 ETH whale wallets now hold a staggering 55,732,495,492,864 SHIB tokens, which is equal to $1,202,858,432 in fiat currency.

The Shiba Inu community keeps removing SHIB from circulation. Per data shed by Etherscan, over the past three days, 156.3 million tokens have been permanently locked in a non-spendable wallet for good.
The largest transfers that burned SHIB carried 30,000,000 and 20,000,000 tokens.
Over the past 24 hours, 88,883,275 SHIB were incinerated, according to data shared by Twitter account @shibburn. It took 11 transactions.
